Highland Cottage is a small family-run hotel set in the unofficial island "capital" of Tobermory, itself a working fishing port of some 900 people. The hotel lies in Breadalbane Street amidst the town's Conservation Area a short walk from Main Street and the bustle of the Fisherman's Pier. Highland Cottage is cosy and intimate and, with only 6 bedrooms, the attention from the resident owners could not be more personal. The byline - a small hotel of quality - is not taken lightly either with Highland Cottage winning the national Thistle Award in October 2001 for the Hotel of the Year, Customer Care and, in May 2002, being elevated to Top 200 Hotel status - one of only 36 in Scotland. The hotel restaurant holds 2 AA Rosettes and Jo Currie has won the Chef of the Year title for the Mull and Iona Food Festival for the last 2 years.
